HomeMy WebLinkAbout1928-09-28 Board of Public Works Minutes September 28, 1928. Meeting of the Board of Public Works was held this day at the Town ' Building at seven-thirty P .M. There were present:- Harry N. Brown Martin B. Hartshorn Harold W. Putnam Samuel H. Davis, and the Superintendent. Mr. Dickinson, of Morse & Dickinson, Engineers, discussed with the Board the matter of the rebuilding of the Mineral Street bridge and it was voted to have Mr. Dickinson go ahead with the Plans and Specifications and furnish us with engineering advice in connection with the rebuilding of the bridge. Mr. George W. Hunt, and other residents of Colburn Road, appeared before the Board requesting a water main to be placed in this Street and they were advised that releases would have to be obtained and the Survey Act complied witn before the Town could put a water main in this Street. Mr. Elmer Richardson appeared before the Board requesting a change in the grade of the Streets as shown on the Plan of the Reading Realty Company, approved by the Board of Survey on June 9, 1928 and he was in- formed that a new plan should be submitted showing this change for the approval of the Board. Upon motion duly made and sedonded, it was VOTED: To make an abatement of the sewer assessment to William A. Rich covering land on Pleasant Street of twenty cents a foot instead of seventy.
