Home My WebLink About1928-08-03 Board of Public Works Minutes August 3, 1928. Meeting of the Board of Public Works was held this day at the , Town Building at seven-thirty, P.M. There were present: Harry N. Brown Martin B. Hartshorn Harold W. Putnam Samuel H. Davis, and the Superintendent. A letter was received from Leone F. Quimby with reference to accepting a Deed from John DeMayo of land at the junction of Salem Street and Bay State Road and he was notified that just: as soon as the Town received the Deed for this land that some action could be taken to relocate the highways at this intersection. The Board discussed the matter of granolithic side-walks and it was iipon motion duly made and seconded, VOTED: That all the side-walks constructed on forty-foot ' streets be four feet in width and on fifty-foot Streets five feet in width except on main arteries the width of such side-walks to be determined by the Board.
