HomeMy WebLinkAbout1928-06-01 Board of Public Works Minutes June 1, 1928. Meeting of the Board of Public Works was held this day at the Town Building at seven-thirty P.M. ' There were present: Miles C. Higgins Harry N. Brown Martin B. Hartshorn Harold W. Putnam Samuel H. Davis A permit was granted to Donald F. Patrick to build a bonfire the night before the Fourth, in Memorial Park. The Board was informed that the Chief of the Fire Department had already granted a permit to Mr. Patrick. Voted: To place an edge-stone on High Street, in front of the premises of Everett H. Hall, he to pay one-half the cost thereof. The application of Herbert Hunt for the extension of the main line of the sewer on Pleasant Street, was referred to the ' Superintendent for further investigation and report. Mr. Ferguson, representing the Luten Bridge Company, discussed with the Board the matter of building a steel concrete bridge on Mineral Street and submitted a plan of the same and gave the Board such information as might be helpful in determining what kind of a bridge to construct. The application of Kingman & Richardson, for a curbing on Summer Avenue offering to pay one-half the cost of same was placed on file and they were notified that the application was placed on file for further consideration.
