HomeMy WebLinkAbout1928-03-30 Board of Public Works Minutes March 30, 1928. Meeting of the Board of Public Works was held this day at the Town Building at seven-thirty P.M. There were present:- Harry N. Brown Miles C. Higgins Martin B. Hartshorn Harold W. Putnam Samuel H. Davis, and the Superintendent. It was voted to. purchase one Standard Winner Road Grader equipped with a short tractor hitch and an eight foot maldboard from the Good Roads Machinery Company, Inc. for 8390.00, f.o.b. Boston. Mr. Dennis Muse of Winter Street, appeared before the Board and complained of water standing on the street and on his premises, and he was informed that the Board would look into the matter and take what action was necessary to improve the situation. An application was received from Frank L. Edgerley requesting the Board to pay half the cost of a concrete walk and edge stone, in front of the premises 203 and 20$ Main Street. He was notified that the Board would keep his application on file and he would be notified later as to the policy adopted by the Board with reference to concrete sidewalks . A letter was received from B. 0. Iversen requesting the Board to make repairs on Grove Street, and he was notified that the Board would cause such repairs to be made on this street as would seem advisable under the prevailing circumstances. ' The plan of the Malden & Melrose Gas Light Co. for the laying out of a gas main in Pinevale Avenue was approved by the Board. A True Record:- - Attest:- Samuel H. Davis SECRETARY.
