' Meeting of the Board of Public Works was held this day at the Tow4
Building at seven-thirty P.M.
,There were present:-
John W. Gwen
Chester J. Wallace
Harry N. Brown, and the
Superintendent.
Mr. Fred Griffin, 69 Middlesex Avenue, appeared before the Board
regarding sewer extension on High Street. It was decided to canvas
this section before laying out the years work.
Mr. Wherle requested the Board to make improvements on his
sidewalk at the corner of Prescott Street and Summer Avenue, and it
was voted to make such improvements at once.
Mr. Homer Morrison met with the Board and discussed the matter
of the edge stone on the sidewalk In front of his premises on
Pleasant Street. Mr. Collins was instructed to look over the
situation and report to the Board later.
Mr. S. F. Gouch, 21 School Street, appeared before the Board
with reference to improving his sidewalk on School Street, and it
was voted to do this work in due course.
The petition of the New England Telephone & Telegraph Company
and the Municipal Light Department to erect one pole on School Street
was granted.
A delegation from Longwoods Road met with the Board to discuss
the water situation on that street.
