Meeting of the Board of Public Works was held this day at the Town
Building at seven-thirty P.M.
There were present:-
John W. Owen
Chester J. Wallace
Harry N. Brown
Samuel H. Davis, and the
Superintendent.
A letter was received from R. F. Loring with reference to the
dangerous traffic condition at the junction of Summer Avenue
and Prescott Street, caused in part by the obstruction by the.
shrubbery on the property of Edwin B. Hedges , and the Board has taken
up the matter with Mr. Hedges with a view of improving the situation.
An application was received from the property owners on Pleasant
Street reouesting the construction of a tar sidewalk with an edge
stone, fronting their property, offering to pay half the cost of the
sidewalk and asking the Town to bear the expense of the edge stone.
They were notified that the Town would reimburse them for one half
of the amount of construction of the tar sidewalk, but the property
owners would have to pay for the edge stone if one was desired.
