HomeMy WebLinkAbout1927-03-11 Board of Public Works Minutes March 11, 1927
Members present: John W. Owen, Chester J. Wallace, Samuel '
Davis , M. C. Higgins and the Superintendent.
A letter was received from Judge Morton, counsel for the Estate
of George F. Chase, regarding water in the basement of the store
occupied by Chase & Finnegan. He was advised that there was nothing
we could do to remedy the situation.
A complaint was received from H. F. Parker regarding the
flowage of surface water across his property. He was advised that -
a storm water drain, to be constructed this season, would correct
the condition.
Two representatives of the New England Telephone & Telegraph
Company met with the Board in regard to permits to locate pole
anchors. It was decided that in all cases the Company would be
required to ask for permits in the same manner as for pole locations
The new members of the Board, not having been sworn in, and
the absence of one member, prevented the Board from organizing for
the coming year.
It was voted to hold the next meeting on Thursday, March 17th.
Respectfully submitted,
M. C. Higgins
ACTING SECRETARY.
