The question of purchasing a sand bank was discussed, and it was decided that we again make an attempt to purchase the bank off West Street owned by Linda Besse. Program for work, on street for next few weeks discussed. Resnectfully submitted. M. C. Higgins SECRETARY. January 28, 1927 -1- VOTED: That the private way heretofore known as "Gardner Rd.", being a road between Pleasant St. and Ida St. , be, and the same hereby is, laid out as a public way, the boundaries and measurements of the way so laid out being as follows, to wit: GARDNER ROAD, being a certain street in the Town of Reading and running northerly from Pleasant Street. The WESTERLY line of said Gardner Road commences at a point on the northerly side line of said Pleasant Street, said point being 221,86 feet distant from an iron pipe bound at the north- easterly corner of said Pleasant Street and Wilson Street. From thence and turning at an angle to the right of 880 - 551 , the said Westerl line runs a distance of four hundred seventy-five and fifty-two one hundredths (475. 52) feet over land of George W. S. Ide and land of Katherine M. Russell, across a private way known as Ide St. to the Northerly side line of Ide St. Thence the line runs in an Easterly direction 900 - 10' - 40" from the last described line and a distance of forty (40) feet. Thence the line runs in a Southerly direction 890 - 491 - 20" from the last described line and a distance of four hundred seventy- six and forty one-hundredths (476.40) feet. Thence the line runs in a Westerly direction 780 - 55' from the last described line and a distance of forty and one hundredth (40.01) feet to the point of beginning. The above. described lines being more fully shown on the "Plan and ProfileofProposed Streets in Reading, Mass." made by Davis & Abbott, Civil Engineers, Reading, Mass. , under date of October, 1925, said plan being a part of this description. Samuel Hobbs 1 January 2P, 1927. -1- VOTED: That the private way heretofore known as , Longview Road, being a road between Berkeley Street and Prospect Street Extension, be, and the same hereby is, laid out as a public way, the boundaries and measure- ments of the way so laid out being as follows, to wit: Longview Road, being a certain street in the Town of Reading, running Westerly from Prospect Street Extension, and turning Southerly by several surveyed lines of different radii into Berkeley Street, said Longview Road has previously been known as Berkeley Stteet Extension. The Southerly line of said Longview Road commences at a stake on the Westerly side of Prospect Street Extension in a Northerly direction from and a distance of four hundred and eighty-eight and seventy-seven one-hundredths (488.77) feet more or less from a stone bound marking, the South-westerly corner of Prospect and Mineral Streets, Thence with a _curve to .the left with a radius of twenty (20) feet, at length of thirty-one and forty-two one hundredths (31.42)fee-I Thence North 740 - 56t East through land of McLane a distance of one hundred forty-six and seventy-four one hundredths (146.74) feet to a point of curve. Thence by a curve to the left through land of said McLane with a radius of three hundred four and sixty-six one hundredths (304.66) feet, a distance of one hundred fifty-nine and seventy one hundredths (159.70) feet to a stake. Thence continuing in a Westerly and Southerly direction by a curve with a radius of three hundred eighty-five and forty-four one hundredths (385,44) feet, a distance of three hundred twenty-one and seventy-eight one hundredths (321.78) feet to a stone bound , set on the curve and at the end of this acceptance as a public highway. January 28, 1927. -2- The Northerly and 'Westerly lines are parallel with and forty (40) feet distant from the above described lines and runs by land of McLane. The above described lines being more fully shown on a Plan and Profile labelled "Longview Road, made by Davis and Abbott, Civil Engineers, Reading, Mass. , under date of April, 1926, said plan being a part of this description. January 28,1927, VOTED: That the private way heretofore known as Prospect Street Extension, being an extension in a , northwesterly direction of the present -Town Way, known as "Prospect Street", be, and the same hereby is, laid out as a public way, the boundaries and measurements of the way so laid out being as follows, to wit: PROSPECT STREET EXTENSION, being an extension of the present Town Way known as "Prospect St." and running northerly from the Present terminus of said Prospect St. as adopted by the Town in the year 1885, (Town Clerkts Records-Vol. 5, page 355) and at a Stone Bound set on the westerly side line of said Prospect St. opposite the southerly side of Mineral St. - From thence the ',IESTsRLV line of said Extension Puns,•on'8 '. prolongation of the westerly side line of said Prospect St. on a bearing of N. 150 - 04' - 00" W. , a distance of seven hundred seventy- seven and forty-five one hundredths (777.45) feet, by land of the Estate of Emily H. Palmer land of Bessie L. McLane, across a private way known as Longview Road, and again by land of said Bessie L. ' McLane to land of Melville W. Weston and at the end of this layout. The EASTSRLY line of said Extension is parallel with and Forty- nine and Five-tenths (49. 50) feet distantfrom the above described westerly line for its entire length and starting: at the southeasterly corner of said Prospect -St. and said Mineral St. , said line runs across said Mineral St. , runs by land of Charles F. Brown, Alice E. Henders�n Mabel H. Brown, across a private way known as "Grant 8t." , by land of Eva P. Mills, Clayton W. Mayers, J. L. Wehrle and Ethel M. Sollow all now or formerly, to a point near the middle of a private way known as "Woodbine St. ," and directly opposite at a right angle from the above described terminus of the Westerly line. The above described lines being more fully shown on a Plan and Profile labelled "Extension of Prospect Street," made by Davis & Abbott, Civil Engineers, Reading, Mass. , under date of April 1926, said plan being, a part of this description. - Jo _W.
