HomeMy WebLinkAbout1926-12-30 Board of Public Works Minutes Dec. 30, 1926 Members present: John W. Owen, Frank C. Carter, M. C. Higgins ' and the Superintendent. The Financial Statement of the different departments was considered, and it was voted to �turn the balance of the "Building Line Account" $719.88 to the "Excess and Deficiency Account" . It is estimated that the receipts from the Sewer Department for 1926 will nay for the proposed sewer to the Junior High School without Bonds or additions to the Tax Levy. The sewer is estimated _ to cost $9,InO.nO. Yo other sewer extensions are contemplated. Mr. Collins estimates the cost of Storm Water Drain Extension on Fairview Avenue to be $9,000.00 The following Storm Water Drain Extensions were approved for construction in 1927, and it was voted to ask for $15,000.00 in , the Annual Town Warrant to carry out the work. Bancroft Avenue $5,700.00 Woburn St. culvert 29600.00 Woodbine ,St. 700.00 Prescott St. 4,300.00 0.00 $13,300.00 It was voted to increase the wages of the following employees : Birnie - from $45.00,to $50.00 per week Webb " 28.00 to 31.68 " " Doucette " 25. 50 to 28.80 " " Ferrick " 27.00 to 28.00 " " It was voted to pay employees straight time for the actual ' hours worked on "Snow and Ice Account" .
