HomeMy WebLinkAbout1926-09-03 Board of Public Works Minutes September 3, 1926 Members present: Joseph W. Booth, Frank C. Carter, Samuel Hobbs, ' M. C. Higgins and the Superintendent. A permit was granted the New England Telephone & Telegraph Company and the M„nicipal Light Board jointly to remove three poles of the New England Telephone & Telegraph Compan,., on Fremont Street between Berkeley and Prescott Streets , and to allow a joint location of the New England Telephone & Telegraph Company with the Municipal Light Board on three other poles on that street. Contractor McDonough is behind on his workonPrescott Street. Mr. Sabin of the State Highway Department has written Mr. MdDonough ordering him to finish the work as promptly as possible. At the suggestion of Mr. Barbour a letter was written to Mr. Harriman, Chairman of the Wilmington Water Board, giving him certain ' data regarding the water consumption of recent years, and asking for information regarding the proposed supply. A plan of the Malden & Melrose Gas Company for a 6" main location on Elliot Street between Haven and Green Streets was approved. Mr. Ambrose of Lowell Street met with the Board to discuss the building of a sidewalk on the north side of Lowell Street westerly from Grove Street.
