July 9, 1926 ,
Present: _ Mr. Owen, Mr. Booth, Mr. Hobbs , Mr. . Carter and the Supt.
Two applications from the Malden & Melrose Gas Co, for main
line extensions were received. They were Locust St. , main extended
in an easterly direction from Beacon St. to Maine St. , which was
granted. Second, Mineral St. main extended in to south westerly
direction to Tozier property. The Board decided that since it was
their purpose this year to stone the street between Summer and '
Prospect Sts. , to request the Gas Co. to tie in all the way through,
and the Supt. was instructed to take the matter up with the Gas. Co.
A pole location hearing on King St. between Berkeley and Prospect
Sts. was held and there being no one present, the location was granted
the Municipal Light Board. This new locatio4 is on the north side
of King St. between Berkeley and Prospect, 100' west from pole
Mr. D. F. Perkins plan was further considered and the Supt, was
requested to ask Mr. Perkins to put the new houses on the tracing for
further consideration.
Mr. Hobbs notified the Supt. of the condition of West St.
shoulders built last year.
Mr. Booth snoke of hydrant leaking at junction of Middlesex
and Deering Sts.
The Town Counsel was consulted in relation to the moving of
Dr. Willis house on Main St.
