HomeMy WebLinkAbout1926-06-18 Board of Public Works Minutes June 18, 1926. ' Members present: John W. Owen, Jos. Booth, Frank Carter, Samuel. Hobbs, M. C. Higgins and the Superintendent. Miss. Merritt of King and West Sts . appeared at the meeting, regarding the building- of a gutter on King St. to Prevent the street drainage from flowing, onto her property. The Board decided to view the situation, and to make a report as to what had best be done. Two representatives from the New England Telephone and Telegraph Co. came and discussed the matter of guy wires, which was the subject of a complaint made three or four weeks ago. They a=reed to change the quy wires at the corner of Deering St. and Middlesex Ave. , and change any others that might be complained of. They also agreed not to install any more wires without receiving permission from the Board of Public Works. Mr. Beaudry of the Malden & Melrose Gas Light Po. appeared and reouested location for gas main on Lincoln St. Since there is to be a new surface water drain constructed on this street along the line of the Proposed new gas extension, it was decided to change the location as shown on the blue print to a location that would be satisfactory to Mr. Collins. A letter was written to Mr. Watson, Division Engineer of the Boston & Maine R. R. requesting blue prints of the proposed changes of the crossings at Washington, Woburn and Willow Sts .
