Members present: John W. Owen, Jos . W. Booth, Frank Carter, '
M. C. Higgins and the Superintendent.
The plan and profile for the walk around the Public Building,
and the specifications for the same, were approved by the Board,
and the Superintendent was instructed to advertise for bids for
the work.
Edward P . Mock of 68 Nashua St. , Woburn, appeared at the meeting
and conferred with the Board in regard to an extension of the present
sewer on Prescott St. He asked for this extension so that it will be
Possible for him to enter from the house that he proposed to build on
Prescott St. The Superintendent was instructed to estimate the Cott
of this proposed work.
Mr. Frederick Springford appeared before the Board and complained
of the erection of guy wires from several telephone poles in the
town. These guy wires are dangerous, and a letter has been written
to the New England Telephone and Telegraph Co. ordering that these
guy wires be removed.
The Board has requested the State Highway Commission to work
up plans and specifications for the reconstruction of Prescott St,
the estimated cost of which is .x,14,235.
The report of Sewer manhole inspection, made by the superintendent,
was received.
Voted to adjourn.
