HomeMy WebLinkAbout1926-04-09 Board of Public Works Minutes April 9, 1926. Members present: John W. Owen, Jos. W. Booth, Wm S. Kinsley, Frank Carter, M. C. Higgins and the Superintendent. A plan and profile of Prospect St. extention, also of Longview Road, was presented for anproval by Miss McLane. Mis McLane met with the Board and discussed these two projects , but no action was taken. It is the intention of the Board to make an inspection of the proposed streets as soon as possible. Permission was granted to the Municipal Light Board and The New England Telephone and Telegraph Co. jointly to relocate a pole on Winthrop Ave. , Permission was also granted to the same parties to erect one pole and remove another at the corner of Lowell St. and Winthrop Ave. It was the vote of the Board that the Proposed drains on Lincoln ' St. Prescott St. , Woburn St. , Lowell and Deering St. and School and Dudley Sts . should be constructed under contract. It was also voted to have Barbour and Dixon draw un the Plans and specifications and have them inspect the work. A sketch of a Proposed court or street off Woburn St. near the Catholic Church was received from Davis and Abbott. The proposition was discussed by the Board but no action was taken. A letter was written to Davis and Abbott advising them that the matter was under consideration and that they would be notified of the actt6a•of the Board at a later date. - Respectfully submitted, M.
