HomeMy WebLinkAbout1947-07-21 Board of Survey Minutes r Reading, Mass. , July 21, 1947 V Meeting of the Board of Survey opened at 8:15 P. M. Messrs. Putnam, Davis , Lindsay , Webb, and Superintendent Welch were present. Preliminary hearing held on proposed lines and grades for Bainbridge Road, running easterly and northerly from Wakefield St . to Charles St. Following persons present: Mr. Carl Olson Mr. George Olson The plan was discussed in detail and changes were suggested for the drain location and for the profile grade. Mr. Carl Olson, developer, agreed to changes. Voted to require the developer to either install all drain pipes , drain structures and drain castings and further to grade the road to a level 12 inches below the finished grade or to file a performance bond guaranteeing that this work will be done. Mr. Carl Olson stated he would do the work himself. A preliminary hearing was held on proposed lines and grades for Packman Road running northeasterly from Lowell St. approximately 350 feet. Following persons present : Mr. Royal Jaques Mr. James Sanborn Mr. Gordon Sidebotham The plan was discussed in detail. Mr. Jaques requested he be relieved of the necessity of in- stalling proposed drainage to sometime in the future. No action taken on this request. t Question Mose as to legality of street lines shown on a lot plan filed at Registry of Deeds in 1897. Voted to request a ruling from the Town Counsel on the follow- ing question: Does the existence of the 1897 plan relieve the developer from the requirement of filing a plan with the Board of Survey now?
