HomeMy WebLinkAbout1956-03-20 Board of Survey Minutes March 20, 19$6 A Meeting of the Board of Survey opened at 8:30 P. M . Present were Chairman Johnson, Messrs. Hopkins, Donahue, 'Lanni, Kilgore and Superintendent Putnam. Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. The Meeting of the Board of Survey, which was opened in Room 141 Municipal Building, then removed to Room 19 Municipal Building for a Board of Survey advertifed hearing on the approval of lines and grades of an access road through the Business C zoned district bounded by South Street, Routes 28 and 128, and lots abutting Curtis Street, with the primary purpose of furnishing access to the Addison-Wesley Publish- ing Company printing structure, through lands of Zeytoonian.Englund et al. Present at the Hearing were the following listed property owners, citizens, Town Officials, and attorney, who, when polled by Secretary 4 Donahue as to their approval or disapproval of the proposed lines and grades of Jacob (Proposed) Way, expressed their opinions as noted: Clifton P. Sturge - Property Owner - 323 South Street - N John J. Zeytoonian - Property Owner - 72 Main Street - N Haig J. Zeytoonian - Property Owner - 72 Main Street - N Jacob N. Zeytoonian - Property Owner - 72 Main Street - N William Highgas,Jr. - Attorney - 422 Wash. Street, Woburn, Mass. Richard W. Gonnam - Citizen - 24 Englund Road - N Gill Lothrop - Selectmen - 13 Longfellow Road - Lawrence Drew - Selectmen - lU3 Scotland Road - Melbourne C. Cummings - Property Owner - Melrose, Mass, Carl H. Amon, Jr. - Town Counsel - 40 Schotland Road Hearing adjourned at 9:20 P. M. and Board of Survey returned to Room 14 for further deliberation on the proposed layout of Jacob (Proposed) Way. Moved, seconded and unanimously voted to approve lines and grades of Jacob (Private) Way as shown on Plan titled "Jacob Way, Reading, Mass. Ldated Mar.20,19$6 Dana F. Perkins and Sons, Inc., "Civil-Engineers and Surveyors, and filed in the Office of the Board of Public Works as Plan A-17-86, Board Adjourned at 9:30 P. M.
