HomeMy WebLinkAbout1951-11-05 Board of Survey Minutes Reading, Mass. , November 5, 1951 The regular meeting of the Board of Survey opened at 8:00 P.M. Chairman Hopkins, Messrs. Calvin, Harrison, and Superintendent Welch were present. Mr. George MacIntosh conferred with Board relative to a proposed development northerly from the present dead end of Gleason Road. His main request was that he be allowed to lay out streets at a width of 40 feet instead of the required 50 feet. Voted to grant him permission to lay out any straight extension of Gleason Road at a width of 40 feet but all other roads shall be laid out at a minimum width of 50 feet. Mr. George Sweezey conferred with Board relative to a proposed road off Charles Street to be known as Dana Road. Plan and profile taken under advisement. Board adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
