Meeting of Board of Survey at 10:15 P. M.
Chairman Calvin, Messrs. Donahue, Harrison, Hopkins , Walker
and Superintendent present.
Superintendent reported that Mr. Crosby has completed required
work on Crosby Road and Edwin Road.
Signed lot layout plans and street layout plans for Crosby Road
and Edwin Road. (Refer to Plans P-21, P-22 and P-23)
Received letter from Town Counsel stating that the proposed
rules and regulations of the Board of Survey for layouts of Rights of
Ways are in order and may be approved by the Board.
Voted to approve the proposed rules and regulations , a copy of
which is attached hereto and herewith becomes a part of these records.

Pursuant to the power and authority conferred upon the
Board of Survey of the Town of Reading by virtue of Section
81 L, Chapter 41 of the General Laws the following Amendment
to the Regulations of the Board of Survey was duly adopted
by the Board at a regular meeting held on August 21, 1950,
such Amendment to take effect on October 1, 1950.
` Board of Survey Regulations for Rights of Ways -
Section 11 A- Special Provisions
A. Layouts for Rights of Ways furnishing access to
one or more lots shown in subdivision as defined
I� in Section 81 K of Chapter 41 of the General
Ab, Laws shall be submitted subject to the following
conditions:
1. Such Rights of Ways shall not furnish access
� to more than two lots but there shall be ex-
cluded therefrom any lots fronting on any
public way or part of such way.
2. Such Rights of Ways shall have a minimum width
of forty (40) feet except that a lesser width
may be approved if in the opinion of the Board
of Survey conditions so warrant.
3. Such Rights of Ways shall not exceed two
hundred and fifty (250) feet in length.
4. . Such Rights of Ways shall not be approved if
there is a likelihood or an intent of future
resubdivision, extension or development of the
lot, tract or parcel of land.
5. Ownership in fee simple shall be established
in the owner of the lots to which the right
of way furnishes access.

6. Such Rights of Ways shall conform to all
the rules and regulations of the Board of
Survey except as provided in this section
in paragraphs 1 to 5 inclusive.
