Meeting of the Board of Survey opened at 8:00 P.M.
in Room 15, Municipal Building.
Present were Chairman Cochrane, Secretary Watt,
Board Members Hodgkins and Kenney and Superintendent Welch.
Minutes of the previous meeting read and approved.
Held Final Hearing at 8:00 P.M. on proposed plan
and profile of an extension to Hanacom Avenue beyond Hart-
shorn Street as petitioned by Mr. Ernest Babcock. Following
persons were present:
Mr. Harry Broadly, Jr. 6 Woodland Street Non-Committal
Mr. Gilbert McKenna 92 Hartshorn Street Opposed
Mr. Joseph Doherty 98 Hartshorn Street Opposed
Mr. Ernest Babcock 52 Bancroft Avenue Opposed
Mr. Arthur Aldrich, Attorney for Mr. McKenna
Mr. Dewsnap, Engineer for Developer -
Mr. Dewsnap presented a set of plans to the Board
and reported that Mr. Babcock had been unable to obtain slope
easements from Mr. McKenna and Mr. Doherty as was suggested
at the Preliminary Hearing.
The Board listened to remarks from several persons
about various facets of the proposal.
The Board took the matter under advisement.
The Superintendent reported that the plan as sub-
mitted was the same as the plan submitted at the Preliminary
Hearing.

It was moved, seconded and voted to disapprove the
tow proposed plan for the following reasons :
1. Developer has not been able to obtain slope easements
from two abuttors and without these easements the
road as proposed cannot be built without causing
serious trouble for abuttors.
2. Developer has not submitted any proposed method
of handling fill without slope easements.
3. The unanimous opposition of the affected abuttors.
Meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
