Read letter from Fidelity & Deposit Company of Maryland in regard to completion of work on Woodland Street Extension. The letter was accepted as a point of information. The Board conferred with Lester Peabody and his attorney, Roland Hoag, in regard to conditions which exist on Whitehall Lane and South Street; namely, removal of ledge which is a traffic hazard, and the piping of an open ditch at the and of Whitehall Lane near South Street. It was stated that the Board of Health has refused a building permit to the owner of the land through which the ditch runs because of insufficient sewerage facilities. The Board of Health will allow the ditch to be piped and covered with a few feet of non-porous material after which a building permit will be issued.
