Meeting of the Board of Survey opened at 7:140 P.M.
in Room 16, Municipal Building.
Present were Chairman Kenney, Secretary Cochrane,
Board Member Watt and Superintendent Welch.
Records of previous meeting read and approved.
Conferred with Charles Stamatis regarding the pro-
posed subdivision, known as Belmont Park, particularly the
proposed intersection of Belmont Street and Pearl Street.
Mr. Stamatis explained why the street was proposed
in this manner and the difficulty and expenses involved in
making an entrance onto Charles Street.
Plans showing the traffic island as it now stands
were studied. Estimated costs of eliminating the island and
resetting poles, etc. were considered.
It was moved, seconded and voted to sign the Board
of Survey agreement with Mr. Stamatis, and it was, in fact,
signed.
It was moved, seconded and voted to reduce the size
of the traffic island to see if this will relieve any possible
traffic problem.
The meeting adjourned at 8:10 P.M.
