HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964-05-11 Board of Survey Minutes _ May 11, 1964-
Meeting of the Board of Survey was held at 8:20 P.M.
in Room 16, Municipal Building.
Present were Chairman Kenney, Secretary Cochrane,
Board Members Florence, Leonard and Watt, and Superintendent
Welch.
Conferred with Carl Goodridge, Frank Stevens and
Ralph Horn, Board of Assessors, in regard to unnumbered and/or
incorrectly numbered structures. Mr. Horn requested that the
Board of Survey take steps to correct the situation. Various
methods were suggested. The Superintendent estimated roughly
that a house-to-house survey would cost $3,000.00 and a request
for funds would have to be made to the Finance Committee. The
Board agreed to take the matter under advisement and the Super-
intendent will notify Mr. Horn of the Board' s decision.
After further discussion, Mr. Leonard moved, Mr.
Cochrane seconded and it was voted that the Board of Survey seek
cooperation from the Board of Assessors, Postal authorities,
Municipal Light Department and water meter readers in locating
the unnumbered houses and/or incorrectly numbered houses and
reporting same to the Board of Survey. The Board of Survey will
contact the owners of the properties so reported.
Meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
Respectfully-@ubmitted,
