HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964-05-04 Board of Survey Minutes May 4, 1964 Meeting of the Board of Survey opened at 9:45 P.M. in Room 16, Municipal Building. Present were Chairman Kenney, Secretary Cochrane, Board Members Florence, Leonard and Watt, and Superintendent Welch. The Board conferred with John Collins, Brendan Hoyt and Donald Martinage on the proposed Franklin Estates - Collins Avenue which runs from Franklin Street in a northerly direction, a dis- tance of about 900 feet more or less to a dead end. All suggested changes have been made and a sworn statement of ownership filed. Mr. Leonard moved, Mr. Florence seconded and it was voted to approve the amended Preliminary Plan of the Franklin Estates. The Superintendent informed the Board that Charles Sta- matin had filed a sworn statement of ownership on the Belmont Street Extension as requested previously. It was moved, seconded and voted that the Board of Survey Srtc ..11 ! , approve the Prelimi(n�ary Plan for the extension of Belmont Street to Pearl Streett-x-�^� �� cw�q\�\�aa�%� l The Board discussed condition of the unaccepted portion of Whitehall Lane; also copy of letter from Mrs. William Black, 67 Whitehall Lane to Mr. Lester Peabody regarding the travelled way. Mr. Cochrane moved, it was seconded and voted that Mr. Peabody be requested to confer with the Board of Survey on May 18 or May 25, 1964 to discuss completion of the construction of Whitehall Lane. It was suggested that the matter be referred to Town Counsel if Mr. Peabody does not comply with the Board 's re- ` quest. Copy of the letter x111 be sent to Mrs. Black.
