Meeting of the Board of Survey opened at 9:00 P.M. in
Room 16, Municipal Building.
Present were Chairman Kenney, Secretary Cochrane,
Board Members Leonard and Watt and Superintendent Welch.
Preliminary hearing was held regarding the acceptance
of lines and grades of Collins Avenue which runs from Franklin
Street in a Northerly direction, a distance of 900.00 feet more
or less to a dead end.
John P. Collins, Stanley D. Cross, Brendan L. Hoyt
and Donald Martinage attended the meeting. Mr. Martinage
explained the plan to the Board Members.
The following changes were suggested prior to approval

by the Board of Survey: -
A sworn statement of ownership be filed.
Minimum cellar floor elevations be assigned to
most lots.
Either the existing ditch be placed within the
proposed easement or the proposed easement be
moved to the location of the existing ditch.
Provide a 50-foot easement with curved corners
to connect a road with Sanborn Lane.
Omit traffic island at turn around.
The Plan was officially filed with the Town under date of March
11, 1964; therefore, expiration date is May 10, 1964.
Mr. Collins requested that a hearing be scheduled for
May 4, 1964 at 9:00 P.M.
Public hearing was held at 9:30 P.M. regarding the
` acceptance of lines and grades of Belmont Street Extension, which
runs from the present terminus of Belmont Street, in a Northerly
and Westerly direction, a distance of 2,018 feet more or less, to
Pearl Street; also Chequessett Road, which runs in a Southerly
and Easterly direction from Belmont Street Extension, a distance
of 1,2$0 feet more or less to Belmont Street Extension.
Mr. Charles Stamatis attended the meeting. According
to the Superintendent, the Plan as submitted is complete and all
suggested changes have been made. Mr. Stamatis will file a sworn
Statement of Ownership.
The Board reviewed report on the Percolation Test pre-
pared by the Superintendent. It was suggested that a letter be
` sent to the Chairman of the Board of Health suggesting that the
�r two Boards meet on May 18, 1964 at 8:30 P.M, to discuss problems
which may be involved because of recent amendments to Section
81U of Chapter 41 that require certain action on the part of the
Board of Health.
