HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964-04-24 Board of Survey Minutes April 24., 1964 Meeting of the Board of Survey was held at 7:30 P.M. in Room 16, Municipal Building. Present were Chairman Kenney, Board Members Leonard and Florence and Superintendent Welch. The Board conferred with Mr. and Mrs. William Bliss and Mr. Sydney M. Hodson about the disapproval of the proposed plan for the so-called Colonial Estates lying between Linnes Lane and Dana Road. They filed a joint letter in which they agree to form a legal entity which will include all their in- terests in the land so that the Board can deal with one unit covering all ownership. It was moved, seconded and voted to withdraw the previous letter of disapproval and vote to approve the plan subject to the provisions contained in the attached letter. Post office Boa 495 Reading, Massachusetts Gentlemen:- Since the Stems listed in our letter of disap- proval sent to you under date of April 22, 1964 have been corrected to the satisfaction of the Board of Survey of the Town of Reading, the disapproval of your proposed subdivision lying between Linnea Lane and Dana Road and entitled Colonial Estates is herewith withdrawn. The Board of Survey has voted to approve the preliminary plan providing (1) a definitive plan, when filed, shall include all the agreed detailed engineering changes, and (2) a corporation, partnership or similar Instrumentality be formed to which the Board of Survey can solely address itself on all matters pertaining to the above-described proposed subdivision.
