Meeting of the Board of Survey opened at 8:00 P.M.
in Room 16, Municipal Building.
Present were Chairman Watt, Secretary Kenney, Board
Members Cochrane, Florence and Leonard, and Superintendent
Welch.
Public hearing was held at 8:00 P.M. Eastern Daylight
Saving Time regarding the lines and grades of Bancroft Avenue
Extension.
Mr. and Mrs. Joseph L. Pendergast attended the meeting.
Mr. Pendergast, when polled, voted in favor.
Mr. Pendergast agreed to assume an estimated cost of
$2,800.00 for gravel borrow and surfacing, the water main to be
Installed under the regular Department regulations.
It was moved, seconded and voted tentatively to approve
the preliminary plan for Bancroft Avenue Extension.
The hearing adjourned at 8:20 P.M.
Read note from the Superintendent with reference to com-
plaints about the height of the roadway abutting the southerly
side of 34 Sunnyside Avenue and his suggestions for correction of
the condition. Mr. Kenney moved, Mr. Cochrane seconded and it was
voted the item be tabled for one week, and that the Board Members
review the situation in the field.
Read letter from Lucien Morel, E & M Construction, Inc.
`, requesting release of bond on Robin Road in the amount of
$7,$00.00, and Mr. Welch's suggestion that the $7,500.00 bond be
released and a new bond for $1,000.00 deposited with the Board of
Survey. This bond will be retained until it is proven that a
wall built on Robin Road will remain properly in place.
Mr. Florence moved that the bond be reduced from
$7,500.00 to $1,000.00 and that the $1,000.00 bond be held in
escrow; Mr. Kenney seconded and the motion carried.
The Board signed the Board of Survey agreement -
Whittier Road Extension - Edward and Martha Small (see Plan
300-L-240).
Meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
