Meeting of the Board of Survey opened at 8:00 P.M. in
Room 16, Municipal Building.
Present were Secretary Kenney, Board Members Cochrane,
Kenney and Leonard, and Superintendent Welch. In the absence of
Mr. Watt, Mr. Kenney acted as Chairman.
Public hearing was held regarding the revision of the
lines and grades of a portion of James Road, which runs from
Whitehall Lane in a Southerly direction, a distance of 550.00
feet more or less to a dead end.
Four persons attended the hearing.
Mr. Welch advised the Board that the change of grade
had been requested by Mr. Francis Kiley. Mr. Kiley wished to
have the grades dropped at #5 James Road so that the driveway
to the garage would pitch from the garage to the street. At
present the garage floor is too low.
Mr. Roland Hoag, representing Normandy Trust,questioned
payment of the additional cost which would be involved. Mr.Kiley
stated that he agreed to do the work and assume any expenses in-
curred.
The Chairman polled the interested parties as follows: -
In favor - 3; opposed - 0; non-committal - 1.
Mr. Florence moved that the Board of Survey approve the
revision of the lines and grades of a portion of James Road, Mr.
Leonard seconded and it was voted.
Meeting adjourned at 8:30 P.M.
