April 1, 1963
Meeting of the Board of Survey opened at 8 :00 P.M. in
Room 16, Municipal Building.
Present were Chairman Watt, Secretary Kenney, Board
Members Florence and Leonard and Superintendent Welch.
Public Hearing was held regarding acceptance of the
lines and grades of Larch Lane which runs from Franklin Street
near Grove Street in a Southeasterly direction, a distance of
504.03 feet more or less to Larch (Private ) Lane.
Mr. Welch informed the Board that the land involved
in the development of Larch Lane had been sold by George McSheehy
to Hillcrest Realty, Inc. In view of the major change and be-
cause a substantial time had elapsed since the last hearing
(December 27, 1961) and no work had been done, it is necessary
to rehear the proposal.
Seven persons attended the hearing.
A. R. Pelosl, 566 Franklin Street, questioned erection
of a retaining wall along his property line which Mr. McSheehy
had agreed to build . Mr. Welch informed Mr. Pelosi that Hill-
crest Realty would honor the prior agreement.
Complaints were registered by various abutters regard-
ing drainage problems which Mr. McSheehy had promised to remedy.
As Mr. McSheehy is no longer the owner, no alleged claims could
now be satisfied.
Permission will be granted to the aforementioned abut-
ters to connect to the storm drain, upon application, at their
`, own expense. Work would be done according to Board of Public
Works specifications.
The interested parties were polled as follows: -
In favor - 7; opposed - 0; non-committal - 0.
No action was taken pending receipt of signed agree-
ments between the Board of Survey and Hillcrest Realty, Inc.
Meeting adjourned at 8:15 P.M.
Respectfully submitted,
Secretary
