L Meeting of the Board of Survey opened at 7:35 P.M. in
Room 14, Municipal Building.
Present were Chairman Florence, Secretary Harrison, Mr,
Leonard and Superintendent Welch.
Public Hearing was held regarding the proposed change
Of lines and grades of BEVERLY (Private) ROAD which runs Easterly
from Lowell Street, a distance of 297.00 feet more or less. This
grade change was for the purpose of adjusting the grade approved
by the Board Of Survey on June 2, 1941 with the existing road
grades, as a preliminary to acceptance of Beverly (Private) Road
as a Public Way under the Betterment Act.
Six persons attended the Hearing and signified approval
of the grade change.
It was moved, seconded and voted to approve the change
of lines and grades of Beverly (Private ) Road.
A Preliminary Hearing was held regarding the proposed
acceptance of lines and grades of BRETON CIRCLE which runs from
South Street in an Easterly direction, a distance of 326.69 feet
more or less to a dead end.
Mr. Leo MacDonald attended the meeting.
On April 18, 1955 an advertised Public Hearing was held
for approval of lines and grades of Breton Circle and Fraser Road.
On May 16, 1955, Mr. MacDonald posted a cash bond of $3,000.00 and
signed an escrow agreement. In January 1957 the State made a tak-
ing for the construction of Interstate Route 93 which bisected the
land owned by Mr. MacDonald. Mr. Welch explained that the $3,000.00
bond will be released at his request. The Superintendent also ad- I

r vised Mr. MacDonald that his new plan must be approved by the
�r Board of Survey; also of the rules and regulations set up by the
Board regarding developments. A discussion followed, after which
Mr. MacDonald was advised to confer with the Superintendent in
order that he may understand more clearly what will be required.
No action was taken pending the outcome of the conference to be
held within the week.
Meeting adjourned at 8:00 P.M.
