HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960-11-07 Board of Survey Minutes November 7, 1960 Meeting of the Board of Survey opened at 8:00 P.M. in Room 14, Municipal Building. Present were Chairman Florence, Secretary Harrison, Board Members Leonard, Ames and Hodson and Superintendent Welch. Hearing was held regarding the proposed acceptance of lines and grades of Tennyson Circle which runs from Tennyson (Public) Road in a Southwesterly direction, a distance of 350.00 feet more or less to a dead end. Mr. Edward B. Small attended the meeting. The question of the necessity of Bituminous Concrete sidewalks was raised. Mr. Welch did not recommend sidewalks. Mr. Leonard moved that the lines and grades be tenta- tively approved. Mr. Hodson seconded and it was voted. Mr. Ames moved that the Superintendent's recommendation to eliminate Bituminous Concrete sidewalks be followed. In lieu of sidewalks, the center island will be loamed and seeded and sur- rounded by sloped curbing. It was seconded and so voted. The Board signed an agreement on the Bolton Street Ex- tension from the Board of Survey to the Developer, Myron E. Wing and Associates, providing that if certain items of work were com- pleted that the Board would endorse its approval on the Plan. Meeting adjourned at 8:22 P.M.
