HomeMy WebLinkAbout1960-07-25 Board of Survey Minutes July 25, 1960 Regular meeting of the Board of Survey opened at 7:55 P.M. in Room 14, Municipal Building. Present were Chairman Florence, Secretary Harrison, Board Members Ames and Hodson and Superintendent Welch. Minutes of the previous meeting read and approved. Mr. Walter Fowler brought before the Board an action of denial received from Mr. Welch on two proposed lots of land off John Street which did not meet the provisions of the "Development Act". Mr. Fowler requested that the action be submitted to Town Counsel, Mr. Killam, for his opinion. The Board of Survey voted to do so. Hearing was held at 8:00 P.M. in Room 2, regarding the ac- ceptance of lines and grades of ROBIN ROAD which runs from Summer Avenue in a Northeasterly direction, a distance of 538.00 feet more or less to a dead end. Twenty-two persons attended the meeting: nineteen were in favor and two non-committal. Mr. Morel explained the sketch, type of house to be built and drainage. Action on the proposed Board of Survey plan was taken under advisement. Hearing was held at 9:00 P.M. in Room 2, regarding the acceptance of lines and grades of POE CIRCLE which runs from Tenny- son Road in an Easterly direction, a distance of 231.53 feet more or less to a dead end. Nine persons attended the meeting: seven were in favor and two non-committal. The sketch was explained by Messrs. Marino and Cardanelle. Questions were asked regarding the type of house to be built and the drainage. Dissatisfaction of the name "POE CIRCLE" was expressed by an abutter. A new name will be selected. Action on the proposed Board of Survey plan was taken under advisement. Meeting adjourned at 9:25 P.M. Rspectfully sub�ia ted, Secretary
