HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-01-10 Board of Survey Minutes Board of Survey Meeting of January 10, 1983 Page 1 A meeting of the Board of Survey convened in Room 16, Municipal Building at 7:50 P.M. Present were Secretary Fallon, Board Members Barker, Polychrones and Griffin and Assistant Superintendent William R. Bergeron. Secretary Fallon assumed the Chair in Mrs. Wood's absence. It was moved, seconded and voted 4: 0 to approve the minutes of the Board of Survey meeting of December 20, 1982 as written. The Board reviewed the letter from Latham and Latham P.G. regarding Lot 1 - Haverhill Street, Reading. The Board of Appeals has continued their meeting to January 20, 19B3 on the petition of Peter F. DiMeo who wishes to construct a pool, tennis court and barn in conjunction with a single family home on the property located at 621/a (Lot 1) Haverhill Street, Assistant Superintendent Bergeron stated the land is approximately four feet above what the Flood Plain Level should be in that area. Mr. Bergeron stated he concurs with the findings of Hayes Engineering and agrees there will be no harm if this is built as shown on the plan. Mr. Fallon asked if Mr. Bergeron had walked the lot and if there is any water problem. Mr. Bergeron stated there is no water problem. It was moved, seconded and voted 4: 0 that the Board has determined based on information submitted by the Department that the property located at 621/a (Lot 1) Haverhill Street is neither subject to flooding nor unsuitable for human occupancy because of drainage and topographic conditions and the use of such land will not be detrimental to the public health, safety and welfare.
