Present were Secretary Wood, Board Members DeNart, Fallon and Barker and Assistant Superintendent E. D. McIntire, Jr. Mrs. Wood assumed the Chairman's position in Mr. Cowell's absence. It was moved, seconded and voted 3:0: 1 to accept the minutes of the Board of Survey meeting of December 7, 1981 as written. It was moved, seconded and voted 4:0 that the Board hereby take in fee, for and on behalf of the Town, for the purposes of relocating and altering said Pearl Street for all purposes of a Town Way, the land situated in the Town, bounded and described as stated in the Order of Taking dated December 14, 1981. , It was moved, seconded and voted 4:0 that the Board hereby take in fee, for and on behalf of the Town, for the purposes of relocating and altering said Franklin Street and Collins Avenue for all purposes of a Town Way, the land situated in the Town, as stated in the Order of Taking dated December 14, 1981. Next discussed was the request from Symes Associates, Inc. to have their bond reduced for work completed on Latham Lane. The Engineering Department recommended a release of $12,700.00. The work has been completed to binder grade on the roadway and sidewalks and the sloped curbing has been installed. There are three homes completed, three under construction now and three lots empty. The proposed bond includes an item Board of Survey Meeting of December 14, 1981 Page 2 for damaged sidewalks and curbing that will most likely occur during the construction of the remaining homes. It was moved, seconded and voted 4:0 that the Tri-Party Agreement Bond for Latham Lane be reduced by $12,700.00 and the amount of work remaining be $29,800.00. The meeting adjourned at 7: 42 P.M.
