A meeting of the Board of Survey convened in Room 16, Municipal
Building, at 7:45 P.M. Present were Chairman Cowell , Secretary Wood,
Board Members DeHart, Fallon and Barker and Superintendent E. Roger
Louanis and Assistant Superintendent William Bergeron.
Mrs. Wood read the notice of the Public Hearing regarding the
adoption of the modifications to the existing Rules and Regulations
governing the subdivision of land.
The purpose of the regulations is to improve the construction
standards and specifications of the existing Rules and Regulations,
and for protecting the safety, convenience and welfare of the
inhabitants of the Town by regulating the laying out and construction
of ways.
Mrs. Wood moved that this Public Hearing be postponed until 9:00
P.M. so that certain members of the Planning Board are able to attend.
It was seconded and voted 5:0.
The Board of Survey reconvened at 8:45 P.M. , and the Public
Hearing was opened.
Mr. Carl Gardner of the Conservation Commission suggested several
recommendations to the Board regarding the Board of Survey Rules and
Regulations revisions. Chairman Cowell advised him that the Board
will consider the Conservation Commissions comments.
Mr. Frank Orlando, representing the Planning Board, stated that he
would like more time to go over these revisions and discuss them
further at a meeting held in the future. Chairman Cowell tentatively
set a date for this meeting of August 13, 1981 .
The meeting adjourned at 9:32 P.M.
