The Superintendent reported that the granite curb has been installed but the bituminous concrete sidewalk, loam and seeding and the back-up area of the sidewalk are incomplete. Approximately thirty-five people attended the Hearing. Peter Ogren of Hayes Engineering, Inc. Melrose, Me. represented the developers and explained that the plan was to extend Haystack Road ending the street in a cul-de-sac, as opposed to going through to South Street as originally planned. Milepost Road now connects with Hopkins Street and affords an acceptable traffic pattern for the area. Mr. Russell questioned the width of the proposed extension and was assured by Mr. Ogren that the street was indeed 501 wide and that the plan did conform to all the Board of Survey Rules and Regulations. A show of hand in- dicated that all in attendance were in favor of the proposed cul -de-sac. Mr. Price then moved, it was seconded and voted to approve the Definitive Plan of Haystack Road (Revision) as prepared by Hayes Engineering of Melrose, Ma. , and dated October 6, 1978.
