HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-02-10 Board of Survey Minutes February 10, 1975 ' Meeting of the Board of Survey convened at 8:45 P.M. in Room 16, Municipal Building. Present were Chairman Blood, Secretary Reed, Board Mem- bers Russell , Dustin and Price and Assistant Superintendent Tormey. Minutes of the previous meeting were accepted as read. Read note from the Superintendent regarding the Final Plan of Chapel Hill Estates. Following a discussion it was moved, seconded and voted to approve the Final Plan of Chapel Hill Estates dated September 24, 1974 and revised February 7, 1975, such approval to the following modifications: 1 . Detail sheet 6: Change typical section for 50 foot street to have 2-inch Bituminous Concrete Base Type 1-1 . 2. Equalization equation on plans to convert Proposed Chapel Hill Bearings to the approved section of Chapel Hill Bearing system, and to one of the following options: 1 . That if proper construction slope easement can not be obtained from the abutting property owners, Eugene Buzderewicz and George B. Perry, 11 , a retaining wall may be constructed within the right-of-way not occupy- ing more than two feet into the right-of-way. The bituminous concrete sidewalk shall be constructed where the retaining wall is required from the face of the retaining wall to the edge of the traveled way. Straight granite curbing will be required along the length of the street immediately adjacent to the retaining wall from the radius granite curbing at the intersection of Franklin Street, or 2. If the Developer is able to obtain the necessary con- struction easements the roadway may be built in accor- dance with the present Board of Survey Rules and Regulations for typical streets cross section. This approval is subject to the condition that the Developer furnishes a proper Performance Bond to the Board of Survey. Meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M. Respectfully su fitted, -/AN&" Secretary
