HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-04-09 Board of Survey Minutes MINUTES April 9, 1973 Meeting of the Board of Survey convened at 9:30 P.M. in Room 16, Municipal Building. Present: Chairman Blood, Secretary White, Board Members Dustin, Reed and Russell and Superintendent Louanis. The Board held a Preliminary Hearing re: Pine Grove Estates . Attorney James Killam, 3d represented the Community Development Services, Inc. , of 343 Fore Street, Portland, Maine. Also representing the developers were David Schurman, one of the principals, Mr . McKechnie of Boston Survey Consultants and the following people attended the hearing from the Conservation Commission: Mrs . Nancy Anderson, Mrs. Ruth Johnson, and Mr . George Cochrane, 3d. * Mr . Killam explained the proposed Sub- division of thirty-four lots, thirty-one of which were above flood plain and three of which were subject to flooding. The Subdivision would be provided with sanitary sewer and the storm drain system would discharge into a receiving pond which would be relocated but of equal volume of the existing pond so that the three lots in the flood plain might be filled. A general discussion ensued relative to the merits of the proposed drainage and ponding area. The Board of Survey gave the developer a list of eighteen items of suggested changes to his plans and requested submission of the storm drainage computations. It was moved, seconded and voted to take the plans under advisement until the drainage comoutation has been submitted and evaluated by the Engineering Department. Meeting adjourned at 10:34 P.M.
