December 13, 1971
' Meeting of the Board of Survey opened at 8: 50 P.M. in
Room 16, Municipal Building.
Present were Chairman White, Board Members Cochrane,
Hodgkins and Watt and Superintendent Louanis.
Read letter from Peter M. Cunningham, 186 Van Norden
Road, which stated that the Developer of LANDERS ROAD had blocked
off the natural drainage and the drainage from the Public Way.
Mr . Louanis stated that he had contacted Mr. Symes and 0. Bradley
Latham, his Attorney, but no action had been taken by the 8th of
December . The Superintendent requested Mr. Jaques, Building
Inspector, to send a Notice of Cease and Desist on the three lots
where the Developer had started footings and foundations. On
December 10, Mr . Louanis received a call from a contractor who
said that he had been engaged by Mr. Symes to install drainage,
and construction would begin sometime on December 13• It was ac-
cepted as a point of information.
Read letter from Laurier A. Beaulieu, 62 Red Gate Lane,
making certain allegations regarding the Development. According
to the Superintendent, a survey will be conducted to determine if
the Developer, Lester Peabody, has complied with the Board of
Survey requirements to date. Mr. Watt moved that Mr . Beaulieu
be invited to appear before the Board on January 3, or at a time
convenient to him and bring certain facts which he has in his
possession; Mr . Hodgkins seconded and it was voted.
Meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M.
