HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-10-18 Board of Survey Minutes 197 October 18, 1971 ' Meeting of the Board of Survey opened at 7:55 P.M. in Room 16, Municipal Building. Present were Chairman White, Secretary Florence, Board Members Cochrane, Hodgkins and Watt, and Superintendent Louanis. Read letter signed by ten property-owners of Lucy Drive requesting that the Town take proper action to have trees planted the entire length of said street or that the bond from the De- veloper (G. Ciardiello E Sons , Inc. ) be revoked. Mr. Louanis stated that letters to Mr . Ciardiello have failed to bring the desired results . According to the Tree Warden, he has been in contact with the Developer and was assured that the ' trees would be planted this Fall after the leaves had fallen. The Superintendent also stated that one bound had to be reset. Mr. Florence moved, Mr. Hodgkins seconded and it was voted to follow the Superintendent 's recommendation and request Town Counsel to proceed against the Bonding Company for the com- pletion of the work. Mr . Cochrane moved, Mr. Florence seconded and it was voted to confirm the signing of the final layout of Keith Road. Read letter from George W. Pottle requesting the re- lease of bonds on Briarwood Road and Osborne Avenue. According to Mr . Louanis, all work had been completed on the streets as re- quired by the bonds. 1`J8 Mr. Hodgkins moved, Mr . Cochrane seconded and it was voted to release the bonds on Osborne Avenue and Briarwood Road. ' Meeting adjourned at 8:05 P.M. Respectfully submitted, Secretary
