' Chairman White, Secretary Florence, Board Member Hodgkins
and Superintendent Louanis met at the intersection of Colonial Drive
and Brewer Lane at 7:00 P.M. to review the progress of the Developer
on completing Colonial Drive, Brewer Lane and Barbara Lane.
The Board noted that there was much work to be completed
and that driveways constructed to improper grades resulted in pro-
blems with sidewalk construction. The Superintendent was instructed
to inform the Developer to complete the project as soon as possible.
It was also suggested that the Superintendent revise the Rules in
an effort to eliminate the problem of improper driveways and side-
walk construction.
' The Board adjourned to the Town Hall at 7: 30 P.M. to meet
as the Board of Public Works.
The Board reconvened in Room 2 at 8: 15 P.M. to meet with
a group of residents from Spruce Road regarding the problem of the
drainage ditch behind the houses on the north side of said Road.
Bayard Lincoln, Town Meeting Member , stated that the
leaching fields were draining into the ditch. There was no place
for the water to drain. The level for the drainage pipe is at a
level which allows the water to stand. He would like to see it
resolved.
Winworth Carter of 64 Spruce Road expressed his dis-
pleasure with the drainage and the decisions of the Board of
Survey regarding Apple Gate.

A discussion ensued . The Superintendent stated that '
the Plans for Apple Gate were submitted and the drainage as pro-
posed was rejected. The Engineer came back and lowered the
drainage one foot.
The meeting adjourned temporarily at 8: 30 P.M. to
meet as the Board of Public Works . The Board reconvened at
10:00 P.M. in Room 16.
The Board reviewed the plans of the Development
under discussion. It was agreed that the elevations of the
drainage pipe would be taken and the Developer be requested to
clear the pipe in Apple Gate Road.
Meeting adjourned at 10: 30 P.M.
