3. Minuteman Wind, LLC-W.Seldon
Mr.Seldon gave a brief overview of a possible purchase of power from a proposed wind project being
developed by Minuteman Wind LLC in the Town of Savoy in Berkshire County, Massachusetts. The RMLD
has sent a"Letter of Intent" indicating its non-binding interest in securing a power purchase agreement
based upon certain understandings, provisions, and disclaimers outlined in the Letter of Intent dated
September 22, 2011. Mr.Seldon explained the project is anticipated to be a 12.5 MW wind powered electric
generation facility with construction beginning in 2012. The RMLD would be interested in purchasing a
maximum of 5 MW that are delivered and credited to RMLD in the ISO-New England/NEPOOL settlement
system, which would mean an entitlement share of up to 40%of the total energy of the project and as
generated by the project. If RMLD were to sign up, RMLD would be entitled to any capacity credits,
renewable energy credits(RECs), and environmental attributes.
Discussion ensued.
It was the consensus of the CAB that the project sounds favorable and worth pursuing.
4. Potential Solar Projects
a. Synergy
b. Community Solar
Mr. Seldon informed the CAB that Synergy and Community Solar are two more solar projects that have
come in, which are also intriguing. The ESD is in the process of obtaining more information about them.
Mr. 011ila asked if these were similar to Minuteman. Mr.Seldon responded that these would be smaller,
perhaps 3 MW. He added that when ESD has more solid information, it will be brought back to the CAB.
5. Other Items for Discussion
None.
