Ongoing Business:
• Presentation to Select Board (3une 19)
• Review outline of topics to be presented to the Select Board
• Gretchen, Ray and Gina are up for renewal and subject to interviews by
Select Board members.
• Review of Checkout Bag Bylaw, status and actions going forward
o Coordinate with Council on Aging to support seniors.
o Get some donated bags for redistribution to seniors.
• Other updates on paper recycling bin, solar choice installations and EV
rebates, tree update.
• Gas leaks update, some progress made but total number of leaks went up.
• Conservation Committee
• Solicitation for Role on the Climate Committee Participation on the
Conservation Committee.
• Black Earth Compost Proposal
• Need to have a minimum of 50 participants to justify involvement in Reading.
• $24 to purchase the barrel, and $20 per person per month.

• Simple Recycling textiles curbside pickup
• Baystate recycling is already accepting textiles and are located at each of the
public schools.
• Reading Friends and Family Day (June 16)
• Butch to provide tent for the booth
• Bags from T-Shirts, Gina to provide instructions.
• Summer Gathering
• Sunday evenings preferred, possible dates to be sent out.
• Meeting by Board of Health on Pesticides to on June 12
• Restrict pesticide application to Town.
The meeting adjourned at 8:40 pm
