Resending handout to committee. • New Residents Open House - Committee Involvement • Tuesday April 30 at 5:30 - 7:30pm, Reading Public Library • Request for table has been submitted. • Promote the Green New Deal at the table • Ideas for Arbor Day 2019 (Friday, April 26) • Rotary hands out a bare root tree. Provide a sheet with planting instructions Page I 1 Town of Reading-Meeting Minutes • Have an article in the newspaper to inform parents that the trees are coming • Students living in apartments could plant into containers for the first year • Denise confirmed a tree donation from Mahoney's. • Tree to be planted on one of the school properties • Promote the event as an "after the fact" news story (RCN, papers, Facebook) • Legislative Priorities on Environmental Topics • Distributed a list of proposed Acts being considered in the legislature • Discussed how we should focus on issues (local vs State level) • Select Board addresses issues that we might have input, but have not connected with the Board on. • Road Diet is a topic for repaving issues in the Town • Bicycle Recycling Event • Confirmed for May 3 - 4, 2019 • David passed the paperwork to Laurie-Ann for liability insurance.
