To adopt more choices about reducing carbon footprint • Ideas for Arbor Day 2019 • Propose to work with KC Latham of Rotary Club does the promotion and coordinates with the Tree Warden (Mike Hannaford), for distribution of trees with 5'h graders. Arbor Day (4/26/2019) • To provide guidance on how to "plant" the bare root tree in a pot. • Gina to talk with Jane about planting a tree on Earth Day • Boost other native plant programs through Website Page I a zou-w-aa Town of Reading-Meeting Minutes • Promote EV Charging Stations • Grants to Reduce Vehicle Air Emissions available • Forward to Rahul Shah at RMLD • Town Select Board for use of public parking spots • Local (larger) businesses for customer use (Management companies) • Get support from business groups (Chamber of Commerce) • Cost model for EV station - Other ways to promote EV adoption. • Winter Social • Mandarin Reading, Wednesday, March 6, 6:30pm • Send Save-the-date to the Friends of Reading Climate Committee. • Open Meeting Requirements • Refresh your knowledge with online training • Discussion Group on Carbon Tax • Proposed Real Estate tax to provide mitigation from climate change • Proposed legislation to impose a carbon tax with revenues to go to various energy efficiency and redistribution programs.
