Ongoing Business:
• Movie nights discussion
• "No Impact Man" movie night at library
• Double room for Wednesday, Feb. 19 from 6:15 to 8:45pm
• Promotion through local churches, community groups, Community Connection
• Patch, Green Sense, Pleasantries senior newsletter, Reading Light"In Brief'
• Postings at local businesses: Christopher's, REI, Market Basket, Bagel World
• Reading Library, RCN, Reading Coop
• Need to prepare a flyer, several formats prepared depending on audience and
posting, for distribution the week of Feb. 4th
• Licensing fee of $125 to $150 may apply, email sent to Impact Partners
• Goal. To adopt more choices about reducing carbon footprint
• Ideas for Arbor Day 2019
• Propose to work with KC Latham of Rotary Club does the promotion and
coordinates with the Tree Warden (Mike Hannaford), for distribution of trees
with 5'h graders. Arbor Day (4/26/2019)
• To provide guidance on how to "plant" the bare root tree in a pot.
• Gina to talk with Jane about planting a tree on Earth Day
• Boost other native plant programs through Website

• Grants to Reduce Vehicle Air Emissions available
• Forward to Rahul Shah at RMLD
• Town Select Board for use of public parking spots
• Local (larger) businesses for customer use (Management companies)
• Get support from business groups (Chamber of Commerce)
• Cost model for EV station - Other ways to promote EV adoption.

• Send Save-the-date to the Friends of Reading Climate Committee.
• Open Meeting Requirements
• Refresh your knowledge with online training
• Discussion Group on Carbon Tax
• Proposed Real Estate tax to provide mitigation from climate change
• Proposed legislation to impose a carbon tax with revenues to go to various
energy efficiency and redistribution programs.
