Review minutes, vote on acceptance
Minutes for 2/27/2019 accepted as amended
Ongoing Business:
• "Age of Consequence-to follow "Great Decisions" Class
• Craig Brandt consents to have movie follow his foreign affairs discussion
• Thursday, April 3, 2019 to be postponed to the fall
• Licensing fee of$350 may apply, may not be cost effective for a small group
• GreatDecisions.org content of program
• Have the viewing of the film be outside of class (homework assignment)
• Green New Deal Discussion
• Propose to have the discussion of Green New Deal later in April.
• Need to have draft material by next meeting.
• Goal is to be informed and knowledgeable on the topic.
• Bicycle Recycling Event
• Confirmed for May 3 - 4, 2019
• Confirmed availability of Brian at RMLD
• Reading Cares to get flyer out
• Need to get RMLD Management paperwork processed
• Ideas for Arbor Day 2019 (Friday, April 26)
• Rotary hands out a bare root tree. Provide a sheet with planting instructions
• Have an article in the newspaper to inform parents that the trees are coming
• Students living in apartments could plant into containers for the first year

• Legislative Priorities on Environmental Topics
• Distributed a list of proposed Acts being considered in the legislature
• New Residents Open House — Committee Involvement
• Tuesday April 30 at 5:30 - 7:30pm
• Reading Public Library
• Need to have a table showing what we do.
• Climate Change Action Plan
• Town Planner (Andrew McNichols) is looking to obtain a grant to review
climate change issues.
• Climate Advisory Committee supports pursuing the grant.
• Send 2014 report and PowerPoint to the committee members
• International Building Code (IECC)
• Met with Bob LeLacheur who indicated he will see what the level of interest is
at the town level.
The meeting adjourned at 8:40 pm
