SRS was the acting chair for the meeting.
VA and AF were made voting members for the meeting.
79.81 Salem Street (no news)
Postmark Square
VA reported that Select Board member John Halsey gave a review of progress at the latest
select board meeting.
186 Summer Avenue
RHC was requested to sign a document acknowledgement of the building permit. JEB will follow
up as soon as is practical.
20-24 Grove Street
The building is for sale through a real estate agent.

New Residents Open House (April 30th, Reading Public Library)
VA, PD, and AF attended, VA had some snapshots of the booth to share. There were 35 new
residents signed up. They spoke with several new residents. AF and PD agreed it may be useful
to have a table at the next new residents' open house.
Garden Club Plant Sale
VA made a 6-foot tall 375th candle for display at the plant sale. There was discussion of
scheduling booth coverage. A table and 2 chairs will be provided. JW will bring the Sanborn
maps of 1918 that he had reproduced, 6 maps, each 22 by 30". There are 6 large color copies
of the same Sanborn maps already in the archive.
Finances
Motion made by SRS, seconded by JW:
"Reimburse VA$10.30 for display materials."
Vote: 5-0 in favor.
New Business
-VA attended the presentation on digitization at the Reading Public Library.
-There was discussion on whether or not the RHC should have a table at the June 15th Friends
and Family Day.
-The Window Woman will have an open house in her Amesbury studio on May 18th.
-There are 50 houses and other town buildings signed up for If this House Could Talk.
-There was a question about which e-mail address the town wishes us to use for archiving
meeting minutes, agendas, etc. JEB can update us.
- Barbara Takach has a piece of rubber from the Goodall Sanford Co. to donate to the town. It
may be a better fit for the Parker Tavern collection. SC will follow up.

-SC and VA spent some time organizing, putting things away in the archive. SC will set up other
times to meet.
