Welcome and Agenda Review 2. Review Fountas and Pinnell Data-10 minutes o Grade 3: There is data for all students but some got in after the deadline. o We discussed that N to 0 in benchmark assessments is a large move-it takes a longer to get from N to O. o In Grade 5 the move from T to U is a large move and takes some time. o We don't have a standardized system for making decisions from grade to grade to decide when to move a student onto a new level. This relates to elements of comprehension and also to comprehension vs. Fluency. o Grade 5: Compared to the end of Grade 4 there is a decrease in high needs students at or above F&P Benchmark. Questions • Can we break down fluency vs.comprehension in the subgroups? • Should we be working on consistency between grade levels on how we move students to new levels? 3.Math Locates-15 minutes Kindergarten Data as of 54-18 Counting a Disorganized Pile of Counters: 91%at benchmark Counting out a Pile of Counters 88%at benchmark 1 mon: : 14%at benchmark for(to 21)and 61 %Above(to 100) 1 less: 37%at benchmark(from 21)and 37%Above(from 100) Page 1 1 atl °racy Meeting Minutes Town of Reading z a ody'xcoaa°ate Grade 1 Follow Up Meeting on 4-10-19 Assessment • Do Number Arrangements for students who are a P for Identifies parts of number and a P or less for Combines Parts of Number • If they get an P or an A for Combines Parts of Number, then do Hiding Workshop-currently • Numbers to 40 and getting ready to do 2-digit addition and subtraction Data as of 5-4-19 Describes and Combines Parts of Number: 85%at benchmark Knows parts of number: 12%(benchmark to 10) 78%have met the April Benchmark All students assessed Grade 2 Follow Up Meeting on April 3 Update Hiding Assessment on anyone below 10 on either part of Hiding by April 12 Update Grouping 1 Os on anyone below benchmark by April 12 Practice for Hiding Students • Room 12-Hiding practice in morning work • Room 9- Number combinations practice in math time • Room 11 -Pull a little group during morning work time to do intervention Data Grouping 10s: 84%at End of Year Benchmark Hiding Assessment: 78%at October Benchmark 4. Critical Practices for Anti-Bias Education—30 minutes How much buy-in is there in the community for doing anti-bias and anti-stereotyping work? • When there's not a"reason" something happening in the school there seems like less urgent or less buy- in? • People feel like they don't need to worry about it or it's not their child. Should we be doing assemblies around the K-12 Anti-Bias Anchor Standards and Domains? Can we link this information to families—core values linked to the anti-bias standards?
