Date: 2019-06-03 Time: 31SPDuN -4 PM 12: 26 Building: School - Killam Location: Conference Room Address: 333 Charles Street Purpose: Monthly Meeting for 2018-2019 School Year Attendees: Members - Present: Sarah Leveque Jennifer Vogelzang Nick Marrangoni Kate Splaine Tonia McGuire Members - Not Present: Others Present: Minutes Respectfully Submitted By: Jennifer Vogelzang Topics of Discussion: The eighth monthly meeting of the J.W. Killam Elementary School was held in the confer- ence room of the Killam Elementary School on June 3, 2019. Call to order: A quorum of members being present and the meeting having been duly convened at Killam School by the Killam Principal, Sarah Leveque had called the meeting to order at 3:00 and proceeded with business. Review and Acceptance of Minutes: Members reviewed draft minutes from the May meeting. There being no further discussion, Ms. Leveque moved that the minutes for the month be accepted as drafted. Mr. Marrangoni seconded the motion. The members then voted unan- imously to approve the minutes. Vote: Minutes Accepted 5-0-0 Page I 1 Win of Reading g Minutes Review of Committee Responsibilities: School Improvement Plan and WASH Allergy Guidelines - To be updated by June 30th. Student Growth (data in math and literacy) 2018-19 Goals Review (mid-year and end of year)- 1. Attendance improved and we will continue working on this in the coming school year. 2. Literacy - Implementation of the Readers Workshop and FLAP kits 3. Pride Survey - To improve certain aspects of school climate in the following four areas: school decision making, beliefs in student motivation, feedback on curriculum and instruc- tion, and trauma-informed teaching that supports the teacher's well-being.
