Minutes were approved. No new Treasurer's report. Nothing has changed. The total amount we have for grants is $7564. Donna reported that Kathy Natale, who observed our meeting last month, has expressed interest in joining the Council. She will apply through Town Hall. Mandatory Ethics Training for the Town of Reading needs to be completed by 12/31/18. This can be done online. Art Association Annual Fall Exhibit 400 RCN/375"' Committee Porchfest; If This House Could Talk 200 Coolidge Author Visit Karen McManus 400 Coolidge Science Team Science Olympiad 300 Color in Sound Creative Equals Project"Sound Off" 200 Birch Meadow PTO Creative Arts Core Values Project 400 Total Awards $7500 Voting on the awards was conducted, with Nora recusing for Arts Reading award, and Brian recusing for the Reading Arts Association award due to their involvement with those groups. Motion was made and seconded to approve the slate of awards above, and it was unanimously approved with the recusals mentioned above. Discussion turned to the Town Select Board Meeting presentation on January 8, 2019. Mary Ann and Nancy will work on it and as many council members as possible will attend. Mary Ann offered some ideas in the way of hand-outs for Select Board members. Nancy is preparing a power point presentation. The meeting adjourned at 8:05 pm. Page 1 2
