REPORT OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS ON THE LAYING OUT OF
B STREET
The Board of Public Works of the Town of Reading having
determined and adjudged that common convenience and necessity re-
quire the laying out of a town way under the provisions of law
authorizing the assessment of betterments, substantially in the
location hereinafter described, having complied with all require-
ments of law relating to notice to the owners of land thereof and
of a hearing thereon, and having met at the time and place appointed
for such hearing and then and there heard all persons present who
desired to be heard, have laid out as a town way for the use of the
town running Easterly from a public way known as Libby Avenue, sub-
stantially as and in the location of a private way known as 8 Street.
The boundaries and measurements of said way as so laid out are as
follows :
Beginning at a point on the Easterly side line of
Libby Avenue, said point being N. 150-001 -00"W. , a distance
of 100.00 feet from the division property line of lands of
Thomas F. Daley and Eloise S. Daley and lands of Paul B.
King, Jr. and Judith L. King;
Thence N. 150-001 -00"W. , along the side line of Libby
Avenue a distance of 40.00 feet to a point;
! Thence N.750-00' -00"E. , a distance of 339.25 feet
to a point;
Thence S.200-381 -10"E. , a distance of 40. 19 feet ,
to a point;
Thence 5.750-001 -00"W. , a distance of 343.20 feet
to the point of beginning of this description.
The above described lines being more fully described
on a plan entitled "Street Acceptance Plan, B Street", dated
January, 1959, E. Roger Louanis, Superintendent, said plan being
a part of this description.
We determine that no damages will be sustained by
any person or persons in their property by reason of the taking
to be made for this improvement. All acts in connection with
said laying out are done under the provision of law authorizing ,
the assessment of betterments, and betterments are to be assessed
therefor.
This laying out so made by us we hereby report to the
Town for acceptance and recommend that said way shall thereafter
be known as a public way and named B Street, and that the sum of
Seven Thousand Seven Hundred and Twenty ( $7,720.00 ) Dollars be
transferred from Surplus Revenue and appropriated for construction
of said way.

The Board of Public Works of the Town of Reading having
determined and adjudged that common convenience and necessity re-
quire the laying out of a town way under the provisions of law
authorizing the assessment of betterments, substantially in the
location hereinafter described, having complied with all require-
ments of law relating to notice to the owners of land thereof and

of a hearing thereon, and having met at the time and place appointed
for such hearing and then and there heard all persons present who
desired to be heard, have laid out as a town way for the use of the
town running Southerly of a public way known as Spruce Road, sub-
stantially as and in the location of a private way known as Baldwin
Lane. The boundaries and measurements of said way as so laid out are
as follows :
Beginning at a point on the Southerly side line of
Spruce Road, said point being Westerly from the division
property line of lands of Donald F. Port and Barbara M.
Port and lands of William H. Marshall and Joan Anne Marshall ,
a distance of 103.62 feet;

The above described lines being more fully described
on a plan entitled "Street Acceptance Plan, Baldwin Lane",
dated January 1969, E. Roger Louanis Superintendent, said plan
being a part of this description.
We determine that no damages will be sustained by
any person or persons in their property by reason of the taking
to be made for this improvement. All acts in connection with
said laying out are done under the provision of law authorizing
the assessment of betterments, and betterments are to be assessed y

This laying out so made by us we hereby report to the
Town for acceptance and recommend that said way shall thereafter
be known as a public way and named Baldwin Lane, and that the sum
Qf Three Hundred and Twenty Five Dollars ($ 325.00) be transferred from
Revenue and appropriated for construction of said way. Surplus

The Board of Public Forks of the Town of Reading having
determined and adjudged that common convenience and necessity re-
quire the laying out of a town way under the provisions of law
authorizing the assessment of betterments, substantially in the
location hereinafter described, having complied with all require-
ments of law relating to notice to the owners of land thereof and
of a Hearing thereon, and having met at the time and place appointed
for such Hearing and then and there heard all persons present who
desired to be heard, have laid out as a town way for the use of the
town running Northerly from a Public Way known as Forest Street,
substantially as and in the location of a private way known as Marla
Lane, the boundaries and measurements of said way as so laid out are
as follows :
Beginning at a point on the Northerly side line of
Forest Street, said point being N.700-221 -30"E. , a distance
of 90.00 feet from the division property line of lands of
William G. MacKinnon and BaFbara A. Mackinnon and lands of
Richard A. Gilbert, Jr. and Marilyn Gilbert;

ON THE RELOCATION OR ALTERATION OF A
SECTION OF WASHINGTON STREET
The Board of Public Works of the Town of Reading, having
determined and adjudged that common convenience and necessity require
that the public highways be laid out, relocated or altered as and in
the locations hereinafter described, having complied with all re-
quirements of law relating to notice to owners of land thereof, and
of a Hearing thereon, and having met at the time and place appointed
for such Hearing, and then and there heard all persons present who
desired to be heard, have laid out, relocated or altered as public
highway, for the use of the Town, a section of Washington Street.
The boundaries and measurements of said public highway,
as so laid out, relocated or altered are as follows :
Beginning at a point on the Northerly side line of
Washington Street said point being at the division property
line of lands now or formerly of Joseph Miller and lands of
Kenneth J. Castine and Sally Castine;
Thence S.840-091 -00"W. , a distance of 50.04 feet to
a point;
Thence by a curved line to the right having a radius
of 7.34 feet, a distance of 10. 15 feet to a point;
Thence S. 160.351 -00"'c. , a distance of 14.23 feet
to a point;
Thence N.760-481 -10"E. , a distance of 55.20 feet
to the point of beginning of this description. —'
The area of taking is 232 square feet more or less .
The above described lines being more fully shown on a
Plan entitled "Plan Showing Relocation of Washington Street at
Elliott Street", dated July 30, 1968, said Plan being a part of
this description.
We determine that no damages will be sustained by any
person or persons in their property by reason of this improvement.
This laying out, relocation or alteration so made by us,
we hereby report to the Town for acceptance and recommend that when
this report is accepted and adopted by the Town, that said public '
highway shallthereafter be laid out, relocated or altered in
accordance with said Plan.
No betterments are to be assessed for this improvement.
